Is it already 2011??

Hmm, so many exciting things (?) have happened over the last few months, where to even begin…

“I want some oatmeal.  That means I’m hungry and I need more food.”   -Cael, on what he needs in life (plus, his favorite food is eggs and his favorite treat is suckers—all part of the mystique of Cael)…

IMG_0327 Curtis turned the big 1-6 and got to go ice fishing, because that is what being 16 is all about—driving, dating, ice fishing…

IMG_0303 Cool cousins came over to celebrate the birthday boy…

IMG_03103 groovy teens + Christmas morning cell phones = the best December ever!   (according to them)

T-Mobile bill  that arrived in January= really not so good…   (according to the people that pay the bill)

(**While the photo is not crystal clear, the magic sum of $2, 414 in the “amount owed” section left a little something to be desired.  Fortunately, the nice lady at T-Mobile was able to adjust the texting fees to what we thought they were supposed to be—which was significantly less than $2,414…)

So I’m at work the other night, behind the fabric-cutting counter, when a lady I do not recognize walks in:

Lady (turning and looking at me):  “Oh!  You’ve grown!”

Me (a little taken aback, not sure where she’s going with this commentary, my right hand near my left shoulder):  “Ahh, oh my hair has grown a little bit?” (as I touch my brown tresses that really have grown)

Lady:  “I am NOT talking about your hair!!  The shop has grown--it used to be smaller but it is a lot bigger now!”

Me (feeling slightly sheepish):   “Oh, the shop IS bigger now, that’s true.”  (And I really hope I’m not…)

Lady (a few minutes later after looking around a bit and coming back to the fabric counter):  “I couldn’t care LESS about your hair.”

Good to know…

I can't IMAGINE how you reacted to that bill because I *about* died when I saw the total. And I already knew that I wouldn't have to pay it!
