Happy Birthday Kendell!!

Today is the day that this very girl turns   11 years old!! 

 

August is a grand time to be the birthday girl—the weather is warm/hot/really hot, school’s out (scream and shout--unless you’ve got the year-around thing going), water slides,  swimming pools, bike rides, popsicles, ice cream, watermelon, mmm-summer…

   So I totally feel like I’m a complete  downer with the summer fun when  I tell you that being the “birther”  (now there’s a lovely word) in the month of August was slightly less grand-the weather was hot/HOT/SUPER HOT!!  I was swollen, sweaty and in a constant state of motion pushing kidlets #1 and 2 up and down the street in the double stroller  trying to “encourage” kidlet #3 to make her debut (all to no avail, and let me say that in the state of Washington, seeing a very pregnant lady strolling with 2 other children under the age of 3 was definitely something to gawk at) –oh, the memories!!  Unfortunately, with no digital cameras way back in 1998, I cannot show evidence of my matronly lack of ankles, as well as lack of clear skin, such a shame…

 

                                          I can show you a fun girl who is now 11, and when given the chance to eat her weight in Red Robin onion rings, opted to instead chew just a few…
