Tis the Season…

IMG_4347

…for my musical genius little brother, Allen, to lead his high school in their annual “Evening at the Cinema” concert, where they perform a grand variety of fantastic numbers from all sorts of movies.  This year, Allen performed (on piano)with a member of the Utah Symphony(on saxophone)—they did a piece from “Catch Me if You Can.”  I’ll just say that my extremely talented brother never ceases to amaze me and also never ceases to reaffirm in my mind how great it was for me to give up my portion of musical talent so that Allen could have that much more…

IMG_4357… for blowing up the kiddie pool and lounging around with fun friends…

IMG_4358 …for sitting at the other end of the blown-up kiddie pool, watching your big sis lounging around with her friends, and plotting all kinds of big things…

IMG_4361 …for still playing some serious softball and making sure the bun in your hair is low enough to not get in the way of the batting helmet…

IMG_4364 …for the long-awaited and much practiced for AWESOME Temple Celebration!!  The theme was “Come Up to The Mountain of The Lord”  and the kids performed dances from the different decades (our stake had the 1940’s) to represent the history of the area up until the time of our beautiful new temple being built.  There were 7000 youth from the Oquirrh Mountain Temple area that participated in the singing and dancing—Curtis and Morgan were part of the choir.  It’s so fun to see all of their hard work (and the tireless hours that were put in by the youth leaders) pay off so incredibly well!!   Such a fantastic and powerful evening…

IMG_4383 …for letting me catch my boys laughing and then actually capturing it on  film (digitally, of course)…

IMG_4399 …for Uncle Allen to balance little Henry while getting his head examined at the same time—I did say he was talented…

IMG_4403 …for Cael and Zander to enjoy a delightful Saturday with tractors…

We heart summer!!

Oh, I am jealous that it is the season for blow up pools there in UT. Here we are barely hanging out in the 60's...rainy too! =(
What fun to watch Allen perform. How does he do that?! Sounds like it is the season for more extra curricular activities for the Goffs! What fun to watch them perform in their festivals and sports. Good times! xo
